Frequently Asked Questions
- What is DeckCheck??
- This website is a collection of more or less up to date netdecks for Magic: The Gathering. This page is absolutly non-profit.
- What's up with the good old DeckCheck.net??
- The old site was closed down by its owner EvilBernd on 22. Oct 2010 because he was unsatisfied with the way in which Wizards of the Coast supported Tournament Organizers, who are independent from a store. Unfortunately he decided not to give the old database to anyone else nor to sell the old domain name.
- So how are you connected to Deckcheck.net?
- NOT AT ALL. We try to make our own project. The basic idea was to reduce the function of the old site to its basic features and adding new things on communities demand.
- So what happens to our decklists when you rage-close this site?
- To be honest, we can't 100% promise, it won't happen. But if you are interested in our database, send us an email, we will hand you a copy of it :) It is the work of the community and we don't have the right to keep it exclusively for ourselves.
- So who is the mentioned "we"??
- Right now this page is developed and maintained by 2 addicted MTG Players from germany and we receive a lot of help from friendly contributers all over the world.
- Are you affiliated with / linked to Wizards of the Coast / Hasbro??
- Nope, this is only a fan page. We make free (indirect) advertisement for their great game and we hope they don't complain about any of their content we use on our page.
- Where do you get all this Decklists??
- There are a lot of very nice players out there, who contribute to this collection of netdecks. To keep the page up to date we need more supporters. If you have decklists to share with the world, submit them.
- How can I help??
- Check the Support us section. You should find an answer there.
- What is "Magic: The Gathering", anyway??
- It's a great trading card game published by Wizards of the Coast. If you did never play it, find a store and test it! It's worth it ;)
- What about a feature, that does...??
- Email us! We have a lot of features in mind that will sooner or later be implemented. If you are sure, your idea will be useful to the community, feel free to tell us.
- Why do some decks have less than 60 cards??
- The main reason is, that our database had a strange way to save the 'ö' of Jötun Grunt, when we recieved the first bunch of decks (Ever heard of UTF-8 stupid MySQL5.0?). We will fix this! If you find a deck that has got less than 60 decks and you are sure no Jötun Grund fits in it, please tell us!
- Your English sucks, its even worse than EvilBernds!!
- Ye, sorry... Our teachers may have failed even more than EvilBernd's did.
